Equi Stone Horse Care and Riding Certificates

The Horse Care and Riding Certificates are offered at 12 levels of knowledge with regards to the care and management of the horse and riding. These certificates are aimed at the first time owner, parent of horse owner and protential owners, but they are also suitable for those candidates who are working towards BHS/NVQ or Pony Club exams. Each level will be assessed in the form of a written paper, which will be completed under examination conditions, and a practical for the stable management and riding.

The horse care and riding certificates can be studied seperately whether you wish to do the horse care or the riding. The pass mark for each level is 60% and successful candidates will receive a certificate for each level attained.

Stable Management Sessions

These sessions are suitable for beginners to advanced level, or as a refresher and are open to adults and children. They are tailored to suit the needs of today's horse owners whether you need to learn the basics of horse care or as an additional refresher to the ever changing methods of horse care. 

• These stable management sessions are available on alternate Tuesday Evenings from 6.30pm.
• Costs per session are £12.00 per session. Holderness Horseshoe Riding Club Members £10.00 session hour.

Requirements: Appropriate clothing to be worn during each session. Registration Form to be completed prior to session starting and any other important information.

In-depth Stable Management Sessions

These sessions are suitable for beginners to advanced level and are open to children and adults who wish to further knowledge and work towards qualifications in horse care and stable management. We can tailor these sessions to to suit your requirements, whether you are looking to learn the basics to allow you to care for your own horse/pony or you are working towards The British Horse Society Stage Exams, NVQ in Horse Management or pony club exams.

• These sessions are available on Saturdays from 1.30pm.
• Costs per session are £20.00 per session. Holderness Horseshoe Riding Club Members £15.00 per session.
