Customer ReviewsBreaking and SchoolingMy 3 year old warmblood horse had got himself a bad reputation where he used to live for being rude and difficult to handle so in the end no-one else was willing to even feed him for me! I moved him into livery with Emma around 10 weeks ago. Thanks to Emma's consistant routine and calm handling he settled quickly and we have been able to train him so he is now a pleasure to handle. We are now progressing nicely with his education, Emma's calm consistant training is making every step trivial for him and when he does occasionally get naughty Emma just works him through it firmly but patiently so he cannot make a big war out of it so he is becoming a nice horse! It gives me great peace of mind knowing that he is being looked after and trained well in a firm, but kind consistant manner and that he is flourishing because of it! We recently decided to take a well deserved break, then the panic! Who can we trust to care for the nags?? Emma was a complete star, she looked after our horses and ponies (at our home) as if they were her own, all 6 didn't even acknowledge our return!! The yard was much tidier then when we left and all our poppets had been cared for to a very high standard ~ lunged frequently ~ much to their annoyance! The yard was 100% clean and tidy in fact PERFECT. We can now go away as often as we want without the worry of the animals. We would recommend any horse owner to Emma she offers a 5***** service. I would like to compliment Emma on her wonderful teaching techniques. She is currently teaching myself and my 4 and 7 year old daughters. My eldest daughter came off her pony last year and didn't want to get on again. With Emma's patient and kind teaching skills, Taurie now looks forward to her riding lesson. I am also a nervous rider but gaining in confidence. I hope soon, to be able to begin riding my horse like i used to, without panicking about what might happen! I can honestly say that I have tried numerous instructors over the years and Emma is by far the best and I would recommend her to anyone. Mrs Jane Jackson (Hollym, East Yorkshire) Equine Sports Massage TherapyI asked Emma to come and look at Billy as he was not going forward off my leg and was also disunited behind in canter. Emma very kindly gave up a Sunday afternoon - we were due to compete in the riding Clubs Area Qualifier, Emma first observed him being lunged so she could see what the problem was, watching her work was fascinating - 2 hours later and a very relaxed horse. I was told to give him a day off and then to ride in straight lines for a few days before asking anything more of him. When i got on the next day he was a different horse, even my instructor commented on what a good job Emma had done on him. I competed him the following weekend in a dressage competition, and won the class scoring 68.8% (we usually score in the low 60's). Emma has seen him twice more since then and i now have a lovely supple horse that is now willing to go forward. Thank you Emma. Mrs Jayne Hawley (Wansford, East Yorkshire) Equine Sports Massage TherapyI would strongly recommend Emma to any horse owner. Emma came to see my ex-race horse 5 days before i was due to compete him in a ROR Qualifier at a county show. I was having problems with him bucking during canter and reluctant to move forward, to the point i no longer felt safe. I explained to Emma that this behaviour is completely out of character for him and normally his canter is very balanced and he covers the ground extremely well. She observed him being lunged and worked on him using a variety of different massage techniques for at least 2 hours. Once finished Emma advised me to work him lightly for the next two days and then commence normal work. I followed Emma's instructions and when i asked for canter i braced myself to be swung from the lampshades and it never happened!!! Emma has worked wonders using massage on my horse and i am planning on getting her to massage him every 8 weeks. Massage is a must for any horse owner either competition or just hacking. We have known Emma for a few years. In that time Emma has helped us buy our horse (Miles) and helped us gain confidence in him. Having not ridden for some years Emma helped us to come up to date with all areas of the sport being very helpful on finding a suitable diet (Badminton Horse Feeds) for Miles. Emma has helped us enormously and would highly recommend her. Amanda & Hannah Cowie (Withernwick, East Yorkshire)
